Things to know

  • Local Vodafone Spanish SIM Card (all text from the network will be in Spanish)
  • Comes with a Spanish phone number (+34)
  • Activation required – see important notes below
  • No ID registration needed
  • APN is fi.omv.es (add manually if it is not automatically pre-filled)
  • Compatible with unlocked mobile devices
  • SIM will not work on Modem/Mifi/Pocket Wifi devices
  • Check your mobile phone number via your phone settings (or ask us once it is activated)
  • Check data usage through your phone settings
  • List of countries where data is included:

Important Notes

  • To ensure a smooth activation, your SIM will be activated one day prior to the activation date
  • Unsure about activation dates? Enter an estimate. Once dates are confirmed, email us at support@travelkon.com.au or use live chat
  • To get the full 28 days, set travel date as one day later. Note activation is between 08:00 AM and 21:00 PM local time.
  • Keep the SIM tray; you’ll need the pin to access the SIM card and if you restart the phone.
  • Do not activate the card yourself as it may interfere with the activation process, if data isn’t working contact us via live chat.

Troubleshooting Guide

SIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.

  1. Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
  2. Turn phone off, remove the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on
  3. Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
  4. Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
  5. Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
  6. APN: fi.omv.es | Username: [blank] | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
  7. Network operator should be set as automatic
  8. Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode
  9. Still not working? Chat with us live, we’re here to help!

The TravelKon SIMs we used in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain) were really relaible. As they use the (Spanish) Movistar network we got great coverage all through our trip. I would use this SIM again if I returned to Spain.
