    • 20.5GB Bali/Java/Lombok, 3.5GB Nationwide – including Bali
    • 10GB Nationwide 5G quota – this means you will only get this quota if there is 5G coverage which may be limited to certain areas
  • This is mainly a BALI SIM card, to use the “nationwide” allowance, you must activate the plan first in Bali.

Important Notes

  • To ensure a smooth activation, your SIM may be activated one day prior to the activation date, which mean the SIM will have 29 days of service
  • Incompatible with Pixel phone – do not purchase this eSIM
  • Check network coverage in your intended travel areas; Coverage issues are outside our control and we do not offer refunds
  • eSIM not available for purchase for Indonesian citizen
  • One passport can only register an IMEI three times (for life) – please take note if you have purchased this eSIM previously, once we sent the eSIM no refunds can be provided.
  • One IMEI can only be registered twice (for life) – please take note if you have registered the IMEI previously.

Activation Procedure:

  1. Purchase the Telkomsel Bali eSIM from our website
  2. Receive a confirmation email with a Google Form link for your submission
  3. Submit the following details at least 24 hours before arrival:
    • Clear photo of an adult passport photo page (minimum 18 years old; Indonesian passports NOT eligible)
    • Clear selfie with your phone showing the IMEI numbers (Dial *#06#)
    • Screenshot of your phone’s IMEI numbers (dial *#06#)
    • Flight arrival details
    • Note: one passport is valid for one eSIM only
  4. The eSIM QR code will be sent 1-2 days before arrival, after submitting the Google Form
  5. Scan the QR code and upon arrival in Indonesia, dial *363*369#, then select option 4 “redeem paket”
  6. Submit details 2-5 days before arrival for pre-activation. Without submission, the eSIM will not be sent

Local Indonesian eSIM Requirements:

  • Indonesian Government Policy: Requires tourists to submit personal data (IMEI and Passport) to unlock the mobile phone’s IMEI for use in Indonesia.
  • Personal Data: Your data will be submitted to the local provider for activation only. TravelKon does not sell your data, which will be automatically deleted within 60 days. If you prefer not to share personal data, consider our roaming Indonesian physical SIM or eSIM options.
  • Eligibility: Indonesian passport holders are not eligible for IMEI unlocking. Consider our roaming options instead.

Troubleshooting Guide

eSIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.

  1. Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi and disable airplane mode before scanning the eSIM.
  3. Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
  4. Dial *363*369# and choose no 4 “redeem paket”
  5. Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
  6. APN: internet | Username: [blank] | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
  7. Set the network operator to automatic
  8. Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

Hassle free buy and activation

Got the esim on black Friday discount, process of buying sim and activation was breeze. Network signal was good in Bali. No issues.

Very good reliable network once activated. Response time for assistance is fast, good communication.

Never got 5g once throughout the trip. Had to work with customer support for hours just to get the sim working. So many low coverage spots throughout Bali (other peoples sims in our group were fine.. Myself and the other TravelKon users were the only ones with issues). Finally several websites didn't work or were blocked unless I used a VPN (eg reddit).

I had already wasted enough time with support just to get the sim working - so I couldn't be bothered wasting more time from my holiday
