Important Notes

eSIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Connect to Wi-Fi and disable airplane mode before scanning the eSIM
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our eSIM (i.e. the correct eSIM profile is selected)
- Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
- Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
- APN: cmhk | Username: [blank] Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
- Turn off automatic network selection and manually choose from the list below.
- Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

Great efficient prompt service. Yet to use the product.
Very fast delivery and responsive – got an answer to a question via email in under 5 mins. Recommended supplier.
The Travelkon support team is to be commended for their prompt response to emails and troubleshooting. My kids are enjoying the services too.

Data keeps going to 3G and no internet. Lucky we have wifi otherwise I’d have no connection. Very disappointed! Have been in Japan a week and only used 2 gig as it supposed to connect to the closest tower but doesn’t and need to rely on the wifi.

Sorry to hear your experience, however please note that we sold thousands of these SIMs without any issues. If the data stopped working the settings must not be correct.

Internet is not that and when you run out of 30gbs the “unlimited data” is extremely slow can’t even send or load pictures
Not sure what the problem was but you have used 30GB which is the plan you purchased, the SIM then slowed to 128 kbps (with no limit) what do you expect? 128 kbps is only good to send messages hope you understand

Stopped working for 1.5 days due to a network outage, but response from customer service team was quick and timely.

Easy to order and set up. eSIM is convenient as I didn’t have to remove my existing physical sim.
Only thing is the speed can be a bit slow at times when browsing websites. Not sure if I exceeded the daily usage limit or it’s the typical speedWould have been better if it could also be used in other Asian and south East Asian countries like some other esim

SIM switch worked seamlessly on my Pixel 7. Added it before departing AU. Enabled it/switched to it upon landing in JP. Just remember to enable data roaming. Coverage was great in Kyoto, Hiroshima and Shibuya. We used WhatsApp, Messenger for calling.
Internet access was perfect for the whole trip… Esim, iPhone, suica, wise, google maps are the perfect combo for travel in Japan…
It was just like we had a local connection. We used WhatsApp and Messenger to call home and each other while away and the call quality was excellent. Good stuff.
