Smooth transaction, quick delivery and great communication. Arrive with great packaging and instructions.
I placed two orders (30gb and 10gb) on 21 Nov 2022. The 30gb was received on 1 Dec. The 10gb SIM card hasn’t came but the tracking number given by Travelkon shows it was delivered to NSW on 3 Dec, while I’m located at VIC.
I contacted Travelkon, they explained the barcode scanned may be incorrectly and asked me to wait till Friday (9 Dec) to see if it will come … Then, I spent a week checking on my mailbox, nothing come though. Travelkon said will arrange another SIM and now I’m waiting for the mail again.
The communication with Travelkon was not really instantly, I have to keep follow up with them. I hope there’s no problem on using the SIM card during my trip in Japan.Five staring rating for this order. My 30GB SIM card was dispatched on 27 Nov and arrived on 1 Dec. But my other order (10GB SIM Card) was not arrived and now waiting for another one to come.
My order was not delivered. After reaching out to customer service the best they could do was to add a discount to my next purchase. Although it is a frustrating outcome, the fault doesn’t lie with travelkon. The customer service has been of great assistance in replying within a day and being professional about the issue. I’ll make another review on how the SIM works out when I use it.

Sorry to hear your experience, however please note that we sold thousands of these SIMs without any issues. If the data stopped working the settings must not be correct.

Worked as soon as I installed when I arrived in Japan
SIM was posted an arrived quickly. It worked in Japan but I had to manually set the network operator per the included instructions because it didn’t work “out of the box”. The biggest problem is the SIM I received appeared to actually have been some kind of prepaid Taiwanese SIM on roaming mode, which meant that I appeared to be coming from Taiwan for all internet traffic. This meant that web searches would default to Taiwanese results rather than Japanese results, some Japanese websites refused to load entirely (e.g. someone sent me an online voucher for a drink at Starbucks Japan and I couldn’t open it), and sometimes my online payments were rejected (I told my bank I would be in Japan not Taiwan so I guess they flagged some of my transactions as suspicious). Other travel SIMs I have used in Japan did not have this issue and the internet traffic would appear from Japan. TravelKon should be more transparent about this fact as it could cause similar problems for others.
Finally, sometimes when travelling between prefectures the SIM card would stop working and I would need to toggle flight mode on/off to make it work again – just something to be aware of.
I was a bit dubious when my unmarked SIM arrived in a zip lock bag with minimal instructions, but I put it in my phone on arrival in Japan, it started working within a few minutes and I had no problems at all throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and use again.

There is a known outage which is affecting the signal, if you haven’t already please contact us for a partial/full refund (depending on usage).

I bought two sims for my wife and I during our three and a half week stay in Japan. We were able to prepare the sims prior to arrival and following the simple instructions, we had the the sims up and running whilst our plane was still on the tarmac. The initial connection took around 4 or 5 minutes. We travelled from Fukuoka right across to Tokyo and always had great service. Very satisfied with the value and service derived from these sims. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again.
We bought five 10GB sim cards and it was perfect for our trip. We only had issues with one of the cards after a few days of use, but TravelKon were easily contactable and replied very quickly through whatsapp. They sent through an eSIM as a replacement after some troubleshooting. Great service all round!

This meant that web searches would default to Taiwanese results rather than Japanese results, some Japanese websites refused to load entirely (e.g. someone sent me an online voucher for a drink at Starbucks Japan and I couldn’t open it), and sometimes my online payments were rejected (I told my bank I would be in Japan not Taiwan so I guess they flagged some of my transactions as suspicious). Other travel SIMs I have used in Japan did not have this issue and the internet traffic would appear from Japan. TravelKon should be more transparent about this fact as it could cause similar problems for others.
Finally, sometimes when travelling between prefectures the SIM card would stop working and I would need to toggle flight mode on/off to make it work again – just something to be aware of.

I was a bit dubious when my unmarked SIM arrived in a zip lock bag with minimal instructions, but I put it in my phone on arrival in Japan, it started working within a few minutes and I had no problems at all throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I bought two sims for my wife and I during our three and a half week stay in Japan. We were able to prepare the sims prior to arrival and following the simple instructions, we had the the sims up and running whilst our plane was still on the tarmac. The initial connection took around 4 or 5 minutes. We travelled from Fukuoka right across to Tokyo and always had great service. Very satisfied with the value and service derived from these sims.
