- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our eSIM (i.e. the correct eSIM profile is selected)
- Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
- Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
- APN: vmobile.jp | Username: [blank] Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
- Turn off automatic network selection and manually choose from the list below.
- Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

Easy to use and activate. Loaded the eSim before leaving Australia. Connected on arrival in Japan. Good coverage and speed during my 3 weeks trip.
We initially had some issues with activation but they were contactable via WhatsApp immediately and it was sorted within minutes. Coverage was very good and the convenience of an e-sim is second to none.
Purchased 2 eSim during my short stay in Japan – one worked fine with iPhone while the other did not work at all with Samsung compatible model. Support via WhatsApp was quick to response, however I did not have much time to configure as I was already in Japan travelling at the time. Would opt for a physical SIM next time as it is much easier to use.
Hi Brendan we clearly outlined that apn need to configure for this eSIM. We ask customer to please review product page to determine if it’s suitable. We have other eSIM that has automatic APN. This is definitely not the fault of the eSIM as it works fine if you follow the instructions. As you mentioned we are also available on live chat almost instantly.

Worked well for me in Japan in various cities. I scanned the code a day in advance from Sydney. The e-sim automatically searched for local network and activated itself when I arrived in Japan.

Sim did not work. Would connect to network but had no data. Purchased a different sim plan which had no issues.
Connection was stable and fast. No issue in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and along the path. The only shortcoming was the activation instruction – different version of Android has slight variation, which is not catered for.

Intermittent disconnections
I bought both 30G and 50G e-sim for Japan and both works great. Support from TravelKon via Whatapp is excellent even while we are there. Will certainly buy from TravelKon again

Had connectivity issue at Sapporo, contacted CS, and they were able to resolve with issuing a new eSIM.
A little bit slow in Japan but as a whole ok Q/P. I will buy again if the price is reasonable
I ordered the eSim before leaving Australia the email arrived almost straight away. I installed it at the airport before leaving as our trip was only for 14 day but I ordered a 30 day 50 gig sim. I switched over on arrival at Narita Airport however it didn’t work. I had printed the instructions and once I changed the settings as per the instructions it worked. We were on a cruise and it worked while in the ports all over Japan with no problems. A friend bought a sim for 6000 yen from a vending machine which also worked but was more expensive. I would definitely buy again and highly recommend.
