SIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.
- Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
- Turn phone off, remove the SIM, insert the SIM back and turn phone on
- Confirm mobile data is sourced from our SIM (i.e. the correct SIM profile is selected)
- Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
- Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
- Set APN and network operator as automatic, adjust only if not working
6.1 APN: “mobile” | Username: [blank] | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
6.2 Turn off automatic network selection and manually choose from the list below.

Sorry to hear your experience, however please note that we sold thousands of these SIMs without any issues. If the data stopped working the settings must not be correct.

I’ve tried contacting TravelKon twice but still no reply even after 2 weeks. They did not reply until I posted this review. Thanks for replying. I wish their emails were monitored though.

The physical sim worked. Later I purchased an esim, difficult to connect up, customer service assisted, work 1 to 2 days and unable to use for the rest of the trip including Singapoe and Malaysia.

Regularly failed to connect or get signal in singapore and japan, attempted to troubleshoot with guide including sim resets but remained ineffective.
Bought the sim card to use in Japan and Singapore. It worked fine in Japan but when I got to Singapore, it wasn’t supported by Singtel. Contacted Travelkon through Whatsapp and it was fixed in no time. Very pleased about that.
Bought Asia explorer SIM for Samsung and it worked flawlessly in Japan and Malaysia. I used it as a second SIM for data. Network connected immediately in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka) and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Convenient and easy!
We were travelling to Vietnam and South Korea for 2 weeks and bought this SIM card before we left. The physical SIM card arrived within a few days. When we arrived in Vietnam, it was pretty much plug, turn on roaming, wait 5 mins, and we were ready to go with a 4G connection. The experience was the same when we arrived in South Korea.
Having the SIM was so convenient for our late arrivals at each country as we were able to use data to book Grab or check downloaded apps without needing to buy a SIM locally at the airport.
Only feedback would be to be notified when we are reaching our data limit as we ran out of data on the last day of our trip and had to use local wifi.
Quick delivery. However, there is no instruction how to activate the SIM card.

Excellent. I was able to use in Japan and South Korea easily without any issues. I bought it on sale and it delivered fast to me before my trip. It was great to land and have data right away. APN setup took a few minutes for a beginner including restarts, but very easy to do. I’d be in South Korea and it’s use the Hong Kong service, and Japan used the Taiwan service (don’t worry about the different names, the data is the same). I would buy this again travelling across all Asian countries because of how easy it is to use.

As a confirmed luddite I was dubious but, insert the SIM in Japan, turn the data on and off a couple of times (on both our phones, we bought two) we didn’t have a lick of trouble. Put them on flight mode leaving Japan, turned off flight mode in Thailand and away we go. Extremely easy
