    Important Notes

    • Any (data/calls) usage outside the plan inclusion, including accidental usage, will deactivate your eSIM service
      • DO NOT install the eSIM outside the coverage countries
      • DO NOT use the eSIM in non-coverage countries or make calls outside the EU and UK (EU to EU and UK to UK only, do not call between EU and UK)
      • DO NOT make calls to premium numbers or calls to UK 08 non-geographic numbers
    • The 30-day plan begins upon redeeming the redemption code.
    • No refunds will be provided for any “accidental roaming” that causes the eSIM to stop working.
    • O2 restricts access to “Age restricted content” and block 18+ sites – this not something we can unblock, we suggest using a VPN if you require access to these sites.

    How to prevent accidental roaming

    Accidental roaming happens when you’re in an area close to a national border (example Greece & Turkey) and your phone picks up the network across the border. If this happens, you may be charged as though you were roaming in the country across the border. You can prevent this by choosing manual, rather than automatic, network selection on your phone and then manually choosing the O2 network. This way if you lose the O2 network, your phone won’t try to connect you to a different one. Contact us if you require assistance or for more details.


    Troubleshooting Guide

    eSIM not working? Don’t stress! Follow this guide to get you up and running.

    1. Disable VPN and any secondary SIM/eSIM lines (for dual SIM phones)
    2. Connect to Wi-Fi and disable airplane mode before scanning the eSIM.
    3. Confirm mobile data is sourced from our eSIM (i.e. the correct eSIM profile is selected)
    4. Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
    5. Wait up to 10 minutes for activation to occur
    6. APN: idata.o2.co.uk | Username: vertigo | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually) OR
      APN: mobile.o2.co.uk | Username: [blank] | Password: [blank] (Android: select manually)
    7. Network operator should be set as automatic, if not working try selecting each available network manually
    8. Restart your phone and/or turn on and off airplane mode

      The installation was easy but I had a lot of issues with connection every time I landed into a new country (that’s listed within the plan) my internet would drop out. Customer service was helpful and responsive. However, there’s no app to keep to date with your data usage, connectivity status like other e-sim companies have on the market.

      Absolutely worth it. Smooth setup process with simple and clear instructions. No issues with access to data when transitioning between countries.

      Generally a good experience however I lost service twice … it seems because I made / attempted to make an overseas phone call. Doing so immediately cancelled the subscription which was VERY inconvenient … I had to buy a new subscription the first time and I didn’t bother trying to rectify it as I was leaving Europe the next day.
      A better process would be NOT to allow a phone call and for the subscription to continue for the original term. Cancelling subscription is VERY inconvenient, notwithstanding that is what your subscription rules say.

      Having finished a 25 hour flight, picked up a hire car and driven 50 miles in peak hour traffic, the eSim install worked incredibly easy ( once I turned OFF FLIGHT MODE ).
